Mr. Unger is a revolutionist in the field of fingerprint analysis. I've been studying palmistry for some time now and as much as I appreciate the works of William Benham, Edward Campbell, Elizabeth Squire, Cheiro, Jaquin, and many others, LIFEPRINTS is the book I continually grab to study as it's relatively new information and incredibly accurate. Richard Unger will go down in history as one of the greatest contributors to this field of hand analysis, particularly in regard to personality profiling via fingerprints. I've been reading this book again and again and am continually impressed and amazed. I hope one day I will be a student of the IIHA. If you question what your life is about, this book will undoubtably lead you in the right direction.

From the front cover picture showing the fingerprint with a arrow pointing to it saying YOU ARE HERE to the back cover description... the info you're seeking is here.

You'll see for yourself your own life-purpose map and the written directions of where you want/need to go. Your whole outlook on life will change when you find out where you've been is what's brought you to where you're going and need to be. Simple.

And the best part, it's written in clear, easy to understand words. Nothing that even resembles stuffy and boring.

It didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would to interpret my fingerprints. I have to say that after doing mine and my mom's, this book was rather accurate. I was surprised at how many things I had pent up inside and locked away with a swallowed key.

I tried to figure out my brother's, but he's married and thinks everything in his life is honky-dory, so when he landed in the School of Love, his mind shut off and he denied having anything to gain from this book. He then called the book bogus and said that the 'predictions' sounded like they could fit with anybody, so they couldn't be accurate.

I beg to differ--simply because my mother and I lead completely different lives, but we both shared a lot of the same traits. We had the least common fingerprints and we were both in the least common School. We also have plenty of different issues, though.. but for both of us, everything was spot on.

I suppose if you're a complete skeptic, there is nothing to be found in this book, but if you're willing to dedicate yourself to looking deeper within, you just might find something out that you might have been ignoring your entire life.

Enjoy!

This is bigger than just a book!, September 23, 2008

In the spirit of full disclosure, I was a student of Richard Unger's at the International Institute of Hand Analysis 20 years ago, where I learned his system of reading fingerprints as life purpose and life lesson imprints. And, also in the spirit of full disclosure, I've been waiting 20 years for this book and am thrilled with it!

Richard's grasp of phenomenology, complexity theory, quantum physics, psychology, and existential philosophy is nothing short of amazing, but even more amazing is that from his incredible mind sprang a system and a book that is accessible to anyone in the English-speaking world who wants to find out why they are on the planet and what gets in the way of living a fulfilling life.

This is not simply a 'self-help' book. It's a tool available to anyone in the helping professions or looking for a meaningful life.

Huge leap for humanity, March 3, 2008

Besides the collected work of Carl Gustav Jung and his 'discovery' of the collective unconscious, this is the single most important book written in the last few millenia.

I have been looking critically at Unger's work for five years and cannot fault it in any way. His system is undoubtedly the most exciting transformational tool available. I now work with Unger's system daily and have seen it transform people's lives more rapidly than any other psychological, spiritual or metaphysical system yet devised. It is nothing short of sensational. A huge leap forward for humanity.

For eons we've been searching for a map, sacred texts that tell us who we are and why we are. The cosmic joke is, this information has been with us all along since day one, right at our fingertips!

Each of us is born with a map so we can't get lost. Your fingerprints are your the `package insert' for this particular lifetime. They're waterproof, difficult to lose and always right in front of your nose.

They indicate who you are and what you are supposed to be working on. The cosmic joke is, it's so obvious why haven't we noticed before?

You can call this healing karmic wounds or you can call it healing patterns that exist within your biological family, depending on what you believe. The outcome is the same. Your fingerprints show what trips you up; what causes you to go round in circles or give half your marbles away. They also indicate the masterpiece intended. (What Unger calls your 'life purpose').

DNA activation and fingerprints:

Interesting research is being done at the moment regarding DNA, specifically the +90% of DNA that was previously thought of as superfluous. Human DNA is 173cm long but only 3 cm is used for genetic coding. Until recently, the rest was labelled `junk DNA' because it didn't seem to have a purpose. Now scientists are finding that this may have to do with the family patterns, collective human experience and maximum human potential.

It seems that as a species, we're designed to move toward DNA activation, but we each have to do the work ourselves. This is where fingerprints come in. They tell us exactly what we need to address in order to achieve maximum fullfilment/realise our core desires.

The downside of this edition?

This is really just an introduction to the depth and breadth of Unger's work.

Why does that matter?

1. Not all fingerprints are easy to identify, just as not all humans are straight forward,'what you see is what you get', I recommend you have yours correctly identified by a IIHA certified anaylst before you read in the book what they mean.

2. A huge part of Unger's work is to do with 'exalted life lesson', his words for how the law of polarity works in your life. The inverse of your life lesson (karmic wound) is potentially your advanced life purpose. The 'wounded healer' is an example of this principle. This important aspect of Unger's work isn't really touched on in this introductory work and that's a pity. Hopefully this will change in future editions.

I think that as a species we are waking up rapidly and, as more and more people are willing to go the distance and work on their own shadows, this aspect becomes crucial and simply isn't addressed in the detail required by many today.

3. Your soul agenda has to play out through your personalty. Your personality and where you are blocking yourself energetically shows up in hand shape and lines. For maximum results, the two aspects need to be looked at together to see how they interact. The only way to do this is through a full consultation with a IIHA certified analyst.

One of the BEST in my collection of Palmistry Books!!, July 12, 2011

I have been studying palmistry off and on for a few years, it wasn't until I got this book on the fingerprints that it all started coming together. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn palmistry, fingerprint analysis or someone simply interested in finding out more about their life path and lessons.

ted in hand reading should study this text. I love how it dove-tails so well with the research and three decades of practice of Dr Michael Newtom's Life Between Lives transpersonal hypnotherapy work. These two students of the soul are not quite of Carl Jung's calibre, but I reckon C G J would have applauded them.
